How soon do you need the panel? It might make more sense to buy a new panel and send that in for the signature, then swap the panels at a later date. I'm not sure if many dealers would stock this item, but they can probably get them within a day or two.

I just checked my service manual. Below are the steps to remove the panel.
-Rod --------------- Instrument Panel Finish Panel — RH Removal and Installation NOTICE: When prying on a component, a non-marring tool must be used or damage to the component may occur. NOTICE: The RH instrument panel finish panel must be removed in the following sequence, failure to may cause damage to the RH instrument panel finish panel.

SHOrod:
have you come across the excellant instructions http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.p...light=lockpick for removing the panels and installing the Lockpick? If you could take the trouble to post the panel removal techniques necessary to follow the lockpick instructions without panel damage then I will be forever in your debt. Alternately, please post the part number of the book you used to produce the above drawing and instructions. Thanks in advance!

To remove panels, you need non-metal interior removal tools, especially the plastic knife looking blade. Everything is just clipped in or attached with screws (that are very visible).
It took me about an hour and 1/2 from start to finish to install Coastal Lock Pick in my Flex, being extremely careful. If I were doing these daily, I would guess it could be done in around 30 minutes. |

Thanks EcoBrick!
I'm one of those guys that has a bad history with snap catches, but I guess if I'm careful I won't break anything. |
