I haven't seen anyone address this question. Basically, data logging is simply doing a zero to 80-100ish run at wide open throttle while using the device to record. When I did mine I simply stopped at the beginning of an interstate on ramp (in the country), started recording, floored it, and then let off around 80. Then I would have my wife email that data log to Torrie while I went to the next exit to turn around. By the time I got there (12 miles) Torrie got me the next tune revision. I repeated the process a few times and was done, it was super easy.

Oh and was the difference BIG? In other words were you simply convincing yourself of the difference, because of your efforts or was it obvious ?

I used a laptop for the data logging.

It's hard for me to get a solid reading from start to finish. On the stock tune it wasn't shifting well at all. Under WOT when it shifted into 2nd it felt like it was slipping. It would shift at 6k rpm, drop down to about 5,500 rpm, hold there for about a second while still accelerating (seemed like it was slipping), and then the rpms would start climbing. So in my data logging he increased performance and worked out that issue. I never timed the stock tune or the final tune, but it feels faster by the seat of my pants. It could be a placebo, I don't know. But I think others have timed their tunes and they got a decent amount quicker.

Data logging has netted me quite a bit.. when I started timing I was pulling a 4.5 second 0-60... after several revisions I am down to 0-60 in 4.1 seconds.

I have a $100 deductible extended waders m warrantee that covers almost everything to 144,000 miles. Is it hard to set back to stock for warrantee work?

If you are warranty worried, you should do no more than:
    Tune - return to stock
    3-bar - return to stock
    Plugs - Leave in
    TStat - Leave in

Always carry the tuner & 2 bar MAP & the appropriate-sized Torx/security tool with you just in case. 5 min to return to stock.

127k left on mine and I do what SHOdded said. It's my daily driver for work.
Plus I keep 1 oil change in Trunk as never know where I might be when it's time for a amsoil change.
