i really think this is causing my evap large leak code.. i got the code for this yesterday and i cleared it and then i got the code again today after tryin to figure out my issue..

code for that is p0443 was getting teh p0455 havent gotten it again yet.. im wondering if the 443 is causing the 455 i got 3 used valves i picked up at the pick n pull today i tested there ohms all with in the 30-38 ohms or the 30-90

passed this with all 3 newer ones i havnt checked the one on the car yet since its still hot after driving it..

    CANISTER PURGE VALVE RESISTANCE

l Measure EVAP canister purge valve resistance.

l Is resistance between 30 and 90 ohms or 30 and 38 ohms (Continental, F-Series/E-Series)?

    Yes
For Escort/Tracer, Mustang, Thunderbird/Cougar, Ranger, Aerostar:

    GO to «HW3».

    All Others:

    GO to «HW4».

    No
REPLACE damaged EVAP canister purge valve. RESTORE vehicle. GO to «HW42».

i do have the sevice manual but i have trouble finding things on it:nut:

If the resistance is OK then the next thing is the valve getting juice when it should?

It appears there should be 12V on it all the time and the valve coil would be grounded by the PCM. You should check to see that there is 12V at the plug. Then you could ground the gray/yellow wire on the plug and this should open the valve.

Cell 26-004 and 26-005 in the electrical manual show the wire diagram and power source for it.

You should also check for continuity on the gray/yellow ground wire back to the PCM
