I've tried to search but am having problems with the function. Anyway, the drivers side inner tie rod boot is leaking. I have had a bit of vibration from the steering. Having had a merkurxr4ti and changing the inner tie rods on it, does it make sense to change these on my 98 SHO. Is the fluid a sympton of the rod wear and or seals at the ball joint. It's leaking rather bad. I am assuming it has seals, are there any or am I looking at having to change the rack?

    Thanks for your help.

    Fluid from tie rod

If you have fluid leaking from the inner tie rod, you have a leaky seal in the rack. The SHO uses transmission fluid for the power steering system. If it has not been changed in a while it might be a gray color. Any way if the rack seal is bad you can find a rebuilt replacement at Rock Auto for $256 to $490 or e-bay.
