wondering if anyone had any good tips for instalation?? or maybe a diagram?
im planing on replacing the thermostat also
should the CPU be reset after doing such a servace?
is simply reseting the idel via unhooking the battery going to be good enough?

BTW its a 89,i have been reading about the other sensor, the one for the gauge, what would i ask for at the parts store regaurding that sensor

    thank you

The coolant temp sender for the EEC the "ECT temp sender" is located on the water jacket on the firewall side of the T-stat around the connection for the upper and lower speedo cable. Its a 2 wire sensor. A 1" deep socket will do the job for you. The gauge sender is a one wire sensor just to the front of the T-stat. There pretty straight forward to replace. Just unplug unscrew screw in a new one and plug back in. All you will need to do is remove the neg terminal before you start and reset the idle when your done.

Look in the "How do I section" of the forum. Right above this one on the main listing page.
